2012 Human Rights Symposium

A day-long symposium to discuss, share, and learn about teaching human rights in a wide range of world areas, disciplines, and classroom settings. Emphasis will be on methods of incorporating human rights education into the community college classroom. Sample lesson plans, pedagogic resources and materials, and strategies for reaching diverse student populations will be shared.

SHREI Outstanding Student Human Rights Project Award

The SHREI Outstanding Student Project Award aims to recognize, reward, and advance the exceptional work of individual community college student(s) and/or a community college student organizations dedicated to raising awareness of human rights, with special consideration for projects that reference the broader international context.
